Abstract: | Preferred facial color was studied in four female groups, i.e., girl students, office ladies, sales women, and housewives. The study was carried out by means of two ways, investigations of face color in magazines for each group and sensory tests. Because the magazines for each group were printed almostly same face color (CIE-L^* = ca. 72, a^* = ca. 9, b^* = ca. 11), magazine editors seems to recognize that every readers want to be pale pink as a face color of women compared with real colors. Effects of face color on the perceived qualities were stdied by means of seven-steps SD methods with four groups of each 25 femals, (perceived qualities warmness sense, dynamic sense, hardness sense, cleanliness sense, elegancy sense, passionate sense, showiness sense, womanish sense, good feelingness, and favorite profession). The perceived warmness sense is a typical quality to be selected different color. |
