Abstract: | About ISO14001 more than 110 sites got its accreditation (=certification) by the end of the year 1996 in Japan. The reasons why they got it are these 5 factors as follows: 1. International competition particularly in EU market, to get better reputation of green consumers, other customer companies, 2. Some autonomies or manufacturing companies particularly in EU give orders of public work only to the companies which have ISO14001 accreditation, 3. Social responsibility to preserve the natural environment, 4. Corporate environmentalism to promote environmental consciousness of employees, 5. Save money, and reduce, recycle and reuse parts, materials, energy, wastes and toxics (cf. Chevron). This research note is going to show how the companies to get its certification and how they do green marketing communication with green customers, using it as the competitive tool. They are four companies in Kyushu island, Yamaguchi or Hiroshima prefecture. |
