Abstract: I had an opportunity to visit for England again in 2001. It was third time of my study tour for this subject. I made several 'Goldsumith' chairs, but I found a few differences every time compare with an original picture. So this aim was to inquire about 'Goldsumith' Chair more precisely at the Victoria and Albert museum and I had to learn historical background of production of English Windsor Chairs. I visited for the Victoria and Albert museum three days after when I arrived London. It was rainy day, and I was able to meet Ms. Kate Hay who was the Curatorial assistant, I made an appointment with her before this time. She introduced for me Dr. James Yorke and stuffs of the Department of furniture and woodwork. From next day I started my study at this Department and National Art Library which is in the V & A. In this library I found the two books from among some books about Windsor chairs, there was written by Ivan G Sparkes, who is famous author about there. After that I return to Japan, next year I made this 'goldsumith' chair again with my student. I wish especially to thank Kate Hay and Dr. James Yorke; the Victoria and Albert Museum, without these help this study tour would not have been possible and I would like to thank for following people: The Stewart Linford chair maker; Mr. Stewart Linford and Mr. Peter Smith; West Dean Collage, Principal, Mr. Robert Pulley, Ms. Sharon Mich Kusunoki and Mr. Jack Hill; the Chilterns University Collage, Head External Affair, Mr. Lyle Ellard; High Wycombe Chair Museum; and others.
